Can you Feel The Force? : The Power Of The Herd

At Harmony Barn, we have a mantra "May the horses be with you" and while it may sound playful, it holds a much deeper meaning. It reflects the profound connection and healing energy the horses offer and serves as a reminder that this presence can stay with people wherever they go.

The Harmony Herd is a unique group of horses, each with their own story and personality. Their quiet, steady energy encourages those around them to slow down, reflect, and be present in the moment. Without needing words, the horses communicate through subtle cues like the flick of an ear, their group dynamics, or a gentle nicker—conveying messages of patience, trust, and acceptance.

Visitors to Harmony Barn often describe feeling a deep sense of calm and rejuvenation in the presence of the horses. Their energy has a way of grounding people and helping them find clarity and peace. But what happens when the person leaves?

The beauty of the horses’ energy is that it doesn’t disappear once someone steps away from the barn. It is possible to carry that sense of peace with them. This is what the phrase "May the horses be with you" truly means.

When life becomes overwhelming, or during moments of stress when a person needs to recenter, the energy of the Harmony Herd is just a thought away. By closing their eyes and picturing the herd in their natural, peaceful environment, individuals can imagine their strength, the way they move together in harmony, and the quiet wisdom they radiate. Through this simple act, they can tap into the same sense of calm and clarity they felt in the horses’ presence.

Horses teach invaluable lessons about being present, setting boundaries, and embracing emotional honesty. These lessons aren’t confined to the time spent at Harmony Barn—they are teachings that can be lived by every day. Carrying the essence of the Harmony Herd with them allows individuals to have a deeper understanding of themselves.
